Over the last ten years Staffordshire Police has modernised in many ways to ensure it's officers and staff are reflective of the people it serves and the organisation provides the correct level of service to the gay community.
Staffordshire Police offers a variety of services tailored to the gay community and in recognition of what’s it has achieved the force was awarded the accolade of being one of the UK’s Number One Gay Employer - Award by Stonewall.

Emergency - 999
If you are in danger or the crime is happening at that time, this is an Emergency and you should dial 999 or 112

Non-Emergency – 0300 123 4455
If you have been the victim of a Hate Crime or would like to report an incident, contact us on our Non Emergency number: 0300 123 44 55 where we will arrange for an officer to come out and speak to you. If you feel you have been a victim of a Homophobic or Transphobic Hate Crime it is important you tell us when you make this call.



Your local Hate Crime Officer
We also have dedicated Hate Crime Officers in each of the four police divisions within Staffordshire who specialise in Hate Crime and community issues.. They can provide you with advice, discuss what has happened to you or put you in touch with other agencies who may be able to provide you with forms of support.

City Centre
The City Centre Neighbourhood Policing Unit (NPU) polices most of the gay bars and Clubs in the city. It's important for people visiting the City Centre on a night out or to access services feel safe, that’s why we have nominated LGBT Liaison officers that work with the gay community and local organisations.If you would like to speak to one of our LGBT Lision Officers about something that has happened in the City Centre, please contact:
