General Election
On the 6th of May the Country goes to the Polls to decide on who will be the voice for them in Parliament. As approximately 8% LGBT people are a significant community within the population. As a combined voice for our community we asked the potential parliamentary candidates about their views on LGBT people so you can have the full picture of their views on issues which matter to you. We asked the Labour, Conservative, Liberal Democrat, BNP and UKIP party candidates.
We asked:
1. Do you support the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans community?
2. How have you engaged with the LGBT community in the past? How do you intend to engage with our community in the future?
3. In your view what are the key issues being faced by the LGBT community in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire?
4. What are your plans to advance LGBT equality and diversity in our wider community?
5. Do you support any LGBT charities?
6. Finally why should LGBT people in Staffordshire vote for you?
