The club in Via, Canal Street, after playing with the Manchester Club

Stoke Panthers Badminton Club is a mixed ability social club open to all LGBT players and their friends. There are currently about a dozen regular members. We are an inclusive club which welcomes all ages, standards and abilities from beginners to league players.

We pride ourselves in having a relaxed and friendly attitude to playing badminton. Participation involves playing doubles with all the club members, no matter what your ability is.

New members are always welcomed and there is no need to pre-book. Just turn up and ask any player to introduce you to the player running the group.

If it is your first time we will introduce you to the other members and get you familiar with the game.

Occasionally players from other LGBT badminton clubs who are in the area will come along and play with us. It provides an opportunity to meet new people, make friends, keep fit and have fun.

There is a social side too, with members meeting every few months or so for drinks and a meal together at a local pub.

Come along and join us! We play competitively but never take it too seriously.
